LOCATION AND DIRECTIONS TO THE SALE
Camp Farm, Roudham is located just off the A11 approximately 45 miles north east of Cambridge and 25 miles south west of Norwich. From the A11 heading east or west exit at the B1111 signposted Harling and head south towards East Harling. Go over the railway crossing following the B1111. Continue on the B1111 for ¾ mile and then turn right at the sign post to Bridgham. The sale site is approached via a farm road approximately 1 mile on the right hand side. The sale will be signposted on the viewing day.

F.A.O: EU BUYERS INCLUDING NORTHERN IRELAND
- Due to new EU phytosanitary regulations, all agricultural items sold to EU countries and Northern Ireland are now required to be certified clean by DEFRA inspectors.
- DEFRA inspection charges: minimum charge of £127.60 (30 mins inspection time), £63.80 per 15 minutes thereafter plus a certification cost of £25.52 per consignment. These costs do not apply to N.I purchasers.
- Certificates are valid for 14 days from the date of inspection.
- Buyers are responsible for all cleaning and certification costs, payable before loading.

- YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PAY A VAT DEPOSIT equivalent to the standard rate of UK VAT (currently 20%)
All buyers from the EU will require a EORI number.
All buyers from N.I will require a N.I EORI number.
Buyers are requested to appoint a freight forwarder to arrange the necessary customs declarations.

Items in this sale sold subject to VAT are marked with a ‘v’ before the lot number.
- Overseas purchasers from EC countries will be required to supply the Auctioneers with their VAT/FISCAL NUMBER (WHICH WILL BE VERIFIED WITH UK CUSTOMS AND EXCISE) AND OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION AS REQUESTED in order that the items may be invoiced at zero rate for VAT purposes. HOWEVER, YOU WILL BE REQUESTED TO PAY A VAT DEPOSIT EQUIVALENT TO THE STANDARD RATE OF UK VAT ON ALL LOTS SUBJECT TO VAT ON THE PURCHASE PRICE as stated in the catalogue and addendum marked with a ‘v’ and/or stated at the time of bidding. THE GOODS MUST BE SENT OR TRANSPORTED OUT OF THE UK TO A DESTINATION IN ANOTHER EC MEMBER STATE. It is the responsibility of overseas purchasers from EC Countries to ensure that they or their haulier complete and sign a CMR DOCUMENT AND COLLECTION CERTIFICATE on collection of the goods purchased and that the signed CMR is returned to the auctioneers’ office following delivery of the goods. The original collection certificate must be left with the Auctioneers. Upon the above requirements being met in full, a refund of the VAT deposit will be made to the purchaser. Failure to do so will result in the VAT deposit being paid over to Customs & Excise as VAT. (See note 4.2 Conditions of Business, Information for Buyers)
- In the case of overseas purchasers from Non-EC Countries, they will be required to pay a VAT deposit equivalent to the standard UK rate. Such amount will be refunded to the overseas purchaser if the Auctioneers receive, within three months of the time of supply, Customs Entry Advice Notes and a Bill of Lading or Certificate of Shipment as proof of shipment clearly identifying the goods which have been exported outside the EC, failing which the VAT deposit will be paid over to Customs & Excise as VAT. Please note ALL overseas purchasers will be required to pay a VAT deposit.
BUYER’S PREMIUM A buyer’s premium of 3.5% plus VAT will be added to the hammer price.
Please note there is a minimum buyer’s premium charge of £2.50 plus VAT per lot.
AUCTION CONDITIONS The attention of Purchasers is drawn to the Conditions of Sale included in the catalogue.
TO BID ONLINE You will need to register on cheffins.co.uk and then sign up for the separate auctions you wish to bid on. Cheffins require that you enter debit card details which are used for identification purposes. A refundable deposit of £450 will be required prior to being accepted to bid. Cheffins reserve the right to refuse any registrant from bidding. Please note Credit Cards can NO LONGER be used for the deposit
METHOD OF PAYMENT All lots must be paid for on the day of sale.
Purchasers unknown to the Auctioneers and wishing to pay by cheque must make one of the following arrangements BEFORE the day of sale.
- Inform your own Bank Manager that you wish to pay by cheque, tell him the maximum amount you are likely to spend and ask him to instruct our Bankers that it will be in order to accept your cheque. Our Bankers will then inform us. Our Bank is Barclays Bank plc, St Andrews Street, Cambridge. Please specify date and location of sale.
- Arrange with your Bank Manager for the issue of a guaranteed cheque to be brought with you.
- Provide a letter from your bank stating the amount up to which your cheque will be honoured. Fax copies and photocopies are NOT acceptable, and the letter must specify the sale and date.
- Buyers wishing to pay by direct bank transfer or Overseas payments should be made by Inter Bank transfer using SWIFT to Barclays Bank, Cambridge Sort Code 20 17 68 Account Name Cheffins Account No. 50237698 IBAN No. GB43 BARC 2017 6850 2376 98 Swift Code BARC GB 22. Please quote your name and invoice number when making a payment.
- Payment can be made by Visa/Delta Debit Cards, Switch/Maestro and Mastercard Debit. Please note, we NO LONGER ACCEPT Credit Card payments for any transaction.
HOURS/MILEAGE The figures stated in the catalogue are believed to be correct at the time of cataloguing. Purchasers should satisfy themselves of the correctness of the hours/mileage.
NO LOTS MAY BE TRANSFERRED The Auctioneer will only accept payment from and permit removal of lots purchased by the Purchasers successfully bidding at the sale or his Agents.
REMOVAL OF LOTS All lots must be paid for on the day of sale a Mechanical loading will be available by appointment only.
RISK The Bidder is on risk once the hammer falls and is strongly advised to effect insurance at once. All lots are sold strictly as seen and without warranty, purchasers are urged to satisfy themselves prior to the sale as to the condition of each lot and whether the lot accords with its description.
